Southwest Garage Door was founded in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1981. Since then, we have been serving the region with a commitment to quality and excellence, earning the reputation of a trusted overhead door company.

Southwest Garage Door is a locally owned company. We have been in business for over 40 years,
serving Arkansas and Oklahoma.
The company was started by John and Cathy Martinkus in 1981. They built a company based on
superior quality and service. Their reputation of caring for their customers allowed them to build and
maintain a successful company. In January 2021, John and Cathy decided to retire and enjoy time with
their family. We are so grateful to them for the foundation they built!
My wife, Heather, and I bought the company in February 2021. We both were born in Arkansas and love living in the Ozarks! We are so excited about serving the region's door and gate needs. We are humbled by the support provided by our three daughters, family, and friends.
I spent 27 years in the manufacturing industry, and I am grateful for all the lessons I learned in my professional career. I am excited to own a business and implement key values I've learned over the years.

technicians is 175 years! Our office staff has been in the business for 15 years. We have been
